I talked about how perfect her pink and black Minnie Mouse tutu was for Natalie's 2nd birthday party outfit earlier this week and now I am excited to share Liz and her shop My TuTu Cute Boutique with y'all!
What is the name of your shop and how did you come up with it?
I came up with it with the help of my 2 year old son. He would always tell me everything was "tutu" cute once he saw all these tutus I was making :)
What do you make in your shop and how can we find you?
I make handcrafted baby-toddler tutus, headbands and vinyl shirts.
You can find my shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyTuTuCuteBoutique

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
My name is Liz Mann. I'm 25 and a mom of 2! Parker who is 3 and Lily who is almost 10 months. I'm married to my husband, Justin, who just got out of the ARMY and we are back living in our hometown of Boise, Idaho. Before my kids, I graduated from Boise State University and worked as an accountant with our travels in the military. Now I'm lucky enough to be a working from home mom :)
How did you get started?
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I started to make her some tutus and headbands and my husband and mother urged me to start selling them. I never saw myself as the crafty type so with some time I decided to give it a go and a year and a half later, the shop has been the greatest blessing!
Does anyone help you with your shop?
My husband is the "shipping department". He labels and takes my packages to the post office every morning. He also helps me run errands for supplies i need! He is definitely a trooper! :)
What is your favorite piece in your shop and how did you come up with it?
My favorite piece in my shop would have to be my original first birthday set. It's a stunning light pink and gold tutu, with a matching onesie and sequin bow headband. I wanted a whole outfit that makes it easy for people to buy for 1st birthdays instead of having to piece together an outfit for a big celebration!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration from my daughter. I'm always thinking as a mom, what would I like to see on her? Any that is how I make my creations!
Where do you see your shop in the future? What are your aspirations for it?
In the future, I would love to see my shop growing with more products and designs. I hope to one day have my own boutique store in our local town as well as online still!
Any advice for other small businesses or momtrepreneurs?
I would say, if you have your mind set on something, go with it! It may seem hard at the beginning to balance it all, but you can do it!
What are some of YOUR favorite shops and small businesses?
I have too many :) but one of my favorite shops for my baby girl's clothes is on Instagram as @milachicboutique. They have some amazing organic cotton leggings! I wish they made some my size :)
