You know those weekends that feel entirely too short? We had one of those.
Saturday, Natalie and I went to gymnastics in the morning and then played all afternoon. She was amazing in gymnastics! She was excited to try new things and is really getting the hang of things we've been working on in previous weeks. She is so strong and brave and this class has been so great for her! I am proud of the little gymnast she is becoming! Brandon on the other hand battled a 24 hour stomach bug. Gross.
Sunday we braved the world and went to Target. While Target is usually my happy place, we could not get out of there fast enough. We made a list before we left and stuck to it. We did not stray from the list. We were on a mission. I didn't even get to check out the new home decor items or the Halloweenie section. Total bummer, but Natalie was in sassy, I'm Miss Independent and I WILL walk, form. Heaven help us. If we ever tried to hold her hand, this happened:
Needless to say, it was a long 30 minute trip to Target. Don't get me wrong - it was a tantrum free trip but a painful one. I was getting plenty of looks from other parents. You know that "get your 'spirited' child under control" look. Ugh. The only way we could get her out of the store was bribing her with a box of goldfish. After prepping lunches for the week, we had a pretty lazy Sunday afternoon filled with naps and football. Not a terrible weekend, but one that was too terribly short!
Just a reminder, Sweet Abby's Auction is starting THIS Friday at 9:00AM EST!!
There are over 100 items for auction and I am so excited to be working with so many incredibly talented vendors, shops and bloggers! The outpouring of support has been absolutely incredible! There is something for everyone up for auction! Items from lactation cookie mix to growth chart rulers, clothes to coffee mugs, shop credits to jewelry, printable artwork to burlap banners. Seriously, it is a great mix of things!
Hope y'all have a great week!
