shop share: Emerson Grace Boutique

I have been playing with this idea for some time and I am excited to start this this project. Occasionally on Saturdays, I am going to try to highlight a small business. It is no secret that I love to shop small and I am excited to introduce you to some of my favorite small shops and the amazing people who run them!

First up: Emerson Grace Boutique!  My love affair with EGB is no secret and I am excited to introduce you to Chelsea!

What is the name of your shop and how did you come up with it?
We are Emerson Grace Boutique - a name that is so meaningful and close to my heart. My daughter (Emerson Grace) was the sole inspiration behind the business. More recently, my son has inspired me to grow my business with a clothing line.

What do you make in your shop and how can we find you?
We offer: hair bows, headbands, clips, wraps, and clothing for infants, toddlers and women + accessories.

We love social media, Instagram specifically to highlight our products and special offers. I have traditionally directed customers to Etsy www.emersongraceboutique.etsy We are excited to announce the new launch of our site www.emersongraceboutique.com

We can also be found on Facebook: Emerson Grace Boutique

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
I am a wife and mother of two. I met my husband going into college and have been together ever since. In 2006 we were married and welcomed our son (Carter, 5) in 2010 and Emerson (2) in 2013. We love to travel and are very fortunate to explore with our kids. Additionally, we are a very active family and when not in swim lessons, ballet, soccer or baseball I am working on new creations for my followers.

How did you get started?
I started EGB when Emerson was just a few months old. My monthly bow/headband bill was extreme and my husband wasn't so pleased.

Does anyone help you with your shop?
My son, Carter, has been a huge help with sealing envelopes :) I also have amazing partnerships with local manufactures and print shops.

What is your favorite piece in your shop and how did you come up with it?
My favorite piece in my shop is my #MOMLIFE tank. As a mom of two, I'm extremely proud to wear it! Plus, it's the most popular item in my shop!

Where do you get your inspiration from?
It started as a hobby making bows for my daughter, Emerson. I had no idea it would turn out to be so well received by the moms, grandmas and friends out there! I am extremely grateful.

Where do you see your shop in the future? What are your aspirations for it?
I would love to see my shop grow! I think it's important to teach your kids that YOU can succeed and it's possible to do anything you put your mind to!

Any advice for other small businesses or momtrepreneurs?
If you are contemplating starting a small business, DO IT! I've had the opportunity to connect with amazing people including other shops, bloggers and customers. Some will be life long friends!
