weekend recap on a Wednesday

I love that my Monday is on a Wednesday this week and that my Friday is still on Friday :)  I could get used to this three day work week thing!

I took Friday off since Natalie had her 18 month well visit that afternoon.  We headed down to my sister's house to hang out with my parents.  We attempted to get some cute pictures but Natalie was far too busy for that.  She absolutely adores her cousin Tim and loves to run around with him :)

Saturday was also spent with my parents and we took Natalie to the park.  That little girl is go, go go.  She was very brave and excited to try the slide.  After one trip down the slide with Mama, she was insistent that she do it alone.

Sunday was a little bit more lazy (for Nat and me).  She did a little gardening with Dada in the morning and then she and I played with the water table while Brandon put together her little house.  I love that she has some of my hand-me-down toys.

I worked on the Memorial Day holiday so Brandon and Nat had a daddy/daughter day.  They played outside and by time I got home, they both looked like they could use a nap.  We ended the long weekend with family snuggles and a movie.

Tuesday I was off for working the holiday which was convenient since daycare was closed.  After a quick trip to the post office to drop a care package in the mail for one of my favorite mom bloggers, we headed out to spend the day with my parents.  It's been nice to get to have some quality time with them.  They leave on Friday so we have a big family dinner planned at our house on Thursday night :)  While I am sad to see them go, as we don't know if we will get to see them again this year, it's been really nice having them around for the past couple weeks!

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Memorial Day weekend and that you took a moment to remember why we have that three day weekend.  A big thank you to the brave men and women who serve our country and especially to those who have lost their lives defending our freedom.  So proud to live in the home of the free because of the brave.
