17 weeks!

How far along: 17 weeks, 3 days

Baby is the size of: an iphone :)

Total weight gain/loss: So at my appointment on Monday, she told me I had gained 3 pounds since my last appointment, which means I am still down two pounds since I got pregnant.  This is really working out for me!

Symptoms: hmm raging hormones. Every emotion I feel is totally extreme.  I was so exciting yesterday about seeing my dad that I cried. When I am angry, I feel like a friggin whirling dervish and I don't even know what a whirling dervish is, but that's what I feel like (if you do not get that movie reference, you clearly do not spend enough time with me).

Food Cravings: I have been loving tomatoes... and Nando's Peri-Peri's chicken cesar wrap.

What I miss: nothing this week

What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy appointment on the 20th so we can confirm what we have been told the gender is :)

Gender Predictions: Given that I know what we're having, it's not really a prediction anymore... but you'll just have to wait and see :)

Maternity Clothes: this week I haven't worn much in the way of maternity except for the belly band. Seriously - if you do not own one of these things, go get one. I don't care if you aren't pregnant - everyone should own one.

Wedding Rings: on and loose :)

Movement: nothing for sure yet. I have felt something, but I don't know if that is in my head or if that's the baby or what.

Best Moment of Last Week: This past week has been an awesome week.  Tuesday we went to see Turnpike Troubadours at Hill Country BBQ in DC.  The people at Hill Country BBQ are amazing. The staff and the managers are phenomenal. I spoke with a manager about a week before the concert and expressed my concerns about a standing room only concert and a 17 week pregnant lady.  He completely understood and set up two chairs on the side of the venue so I could sit during the concert... and by side of the venue, I mean probably 20 feet away from the band. After the concert, we met the steel guitar player and the guy who plays the fiddle.  Seriously awesome Tuesday.  Wednesday, Dr. Levy took Jordan and I out to lunch to celebrate Jordan's birthday... a little bit late, but that's typical MJL fashion :)  The weather was perfect, the company even better.
Then last night, Brandon and I went out to dinner with my parents.  It was so good to see my parents.  I know I get to see them for about a week next month, but seeing them last night was definitely a pleasant surprise :)
