The Lowes App... My newest addiction

Completely by accident, Brandon and I found the My Lowes App on the way to work this morning. This is the best and worst thing to ever happen to my life… and our data plan. Seriously. If you are a homeowner and you have a smart phone and you do not have this app, then you are an idiot… Ok, that was mean, you’re not an idiot. You’re just living a very sheltered life. I have already found 1000 things that I want to re-do in our house and I have only had the app for two hours. In fact, I am now in the process of planning out the projects and pricing them out.

I have said for a long time (probably since we moved in) that I want to re-do the main level bathroom. I hate that mirror and the vanity is kind of blah. Welp – with my new Lowes app, I can sit at work… I mean at home… and price out the vanity and the mirror and figure out exactly what I want… which I have already done. Turns out, this project is not nearly as expensive as I thought it was going to be! I am sure that is because I want something SO simple in that bathroom, but that’s not the point. The point is, we had been avoiding this project because we thought we would have to sell organs on the black market to make the updates. I learned today that for less than $250, I can replace the vanity, vanity top AND mirror in the bathroom on the main level. So I have informed Brandon that next weekend, we will be updating that bathroom. Hello bonding time! And updating that bathroom only increases our resell value… and my sanity. Have I mentioned that I really hate that three-part mirror – it does NOTHING for my figure!

Also, with the Lowes app, I looked at dryers. We need a new dryer. Our dryer takes 2 -3 cycles to dry anything which is annoying and does nothing for our electric bill. I want something energy efficient. Out with the old and in with the new! Turns out, Lowe’s is having a GREAT sale on dryers so Brandon and I are going to go this weekend and look at them in person. I have a few saved on the app that I really like that I want to see in person.

See – this app is saving us time in Lowe’s which is a good thing because I could spend all day in Lowe’s looking around and coming up with projects I never knew I absolutely 100% needed to do. And isn’t it better that I sit at home and come up with these projects, then spend the day at Lowe’s coming up with them? Also, I think Lowe’s should be paying me for this advertising – like $5 for every person who downloads the app because they read my blog. Seriously… go download the app. Even if Lowe’s isn’t paying me to advertise for them.
