On Saturday November 24th, 2012 at 4:26 AM, Isabella Kylee Garner was welcomed into the world. I could not be more excited for or happier for Brittany and Shane, Aunt Patti and Uncle Jerry, and especially Pop. This is such an exciting time for our family: the first of Pop’s great grandbabies. Seriously awesome stuff.
Last Monday we found out that Lori and Gary were going to take Pop to meet the baby on Sunday. Obviously any opportunity I have to see Pop I am going to take, getting to see everyone else and meet the baby was just the icing on the cake. So today we went to Lancaster to see the family and meet the baby. From the old house, it would take us about two and a half hours to get to Lancaster, from the new house only an hour and forty minutes. Definitely a bonus. The drive was so much nicer and it was quite a pleasant morning.
Isabella is adorable. She is quiet and she doesn't fuss. I am a firm believer that those who are happy during their pregnancies are blessed with happy babies. My friend Jessica was on cloud nine during her entire pregnancy and her son Quinn is just as happy as can be (and seriously adorable). Brittany was so calm and seemed so content during her pregnancy and Isabella is calm and content. It was so touching to see Pop hold his great grandbaby. The pride was written all over his face. My mother-in-law was in her glory. She barely put the baby down. I am honestly surprised she did not try to sneak that little peanut home with her :) All in all, it was a really great visit with everyone. It was so good to see Aunt Patti and Uncle Jerry. They look great and I always love the way Aunt Patti decorates for the holidays. It's like you walk into a Christmas wonderland. I love it. I just cannot get over how happy I am that we got to spend the day with everyone. It was a perfect end to a great weekend... what's that? Oh yea, I have Monday off :)
